A throwback syrup to flavor your favorite beverage or for making lemonade.
This recipe can be used to flavor individual drinks by the tablespoon or can be used to make a pitcher in higher quantity. Add syrup until desired sweetness is achieved.
1/2 C water
1/2c fresh lemon juice
reserved lemon rinds
Mix and bring to a boil
Remove from heat when sugar has dissolved
Add lemon rinds to syrup and let sit covered for 1 hour
Strain syrup into a jar and keep refrigerated
Makes 1C syrup
